At grums, we’re passionate about creating high-quality, circular skincare products that make the most of nature’s resources without compromising on performance, look, or feel. Every step of our journey is built on innovation, science, and a deep respect for the environment. 

Our mission began in Aarhus, Denmark, where we discovered the untapped potential of used espresso coffee grounds. Often discarded as waste, these grounds are rich in oils, fibers, and antioxidants—perfect ingredients for effective, eco-friendly skincare. Instead of letting them go to waste, we upcycle them in our in-house lab, transforming them into fibers, oil, and a water-based extract, all used in our products. This process reduces CO₂ emissions and preserves the earth’s resources—all without compromising effectiveness. 

Every detail, from the formulation to the packaging, reflects our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and science-backed effectiveness.

From a young age, our co-founder Simon loved fixing motorcycles, a hobby that left his hands covered in oil and grime. By chance, he started using coffee grounds mixed with soap to clean up, and it worked surprisingly well—sparking the idea for grums. 

Founded in 2018, grums creates effective, allergy-friendly skincare using oils, extracts, and fibers from coffee grounds, all produced in our Aarhus lab. We collaborate with chemists to craft scientifically-backed formulas with high concentrations of active ingredients for powerful results.

Grums is a Danish skincare brand founded in 2018 by Rasmus and Simon in Denmark.

Aarhus is our hometown and the heart of everything we do.
